Beautiful Cemetary

This is a very beautiful, very old graveyard right down the street from us. I've always like visiting graveyards, and I think that they are wonderful place to eternally rest in peace.

This tree is growing right out of an old grave- it's roots are plunged down into the grave, cracking the concrete. I hope a tree grows on my grave someday. I really like trees.

Okay, the photography dork in me really likes the juxtaposition here.

Check out the date on this gorgeous tombstone!
Here's a close-up to help you see the dates. This lady lived to be 115!

Here are some photos of our new neighborhood...

Wait a Minute Mr. Postman

Just wanted to make the announcement that Mus and I finally have an address! Hooray! We have no idea how long it will take for us to receive things in it, but here goes nothing:

Mustapha Ampeh
PO Box 233
Mpraeso, Ghana

Would someone please make sure to pass this info along to Grandma Schiller, please? I promised I'd let her know when we finally got a PO box here.

Also, if you send us anything, please let us know so we can go down and check. We don't check the box too often. That way too we'll know approximately how long it takes for us to get items from America.

And just in case you need some inspiration to get that care package going, I've decided to shamelessly beg by including a handy-dandy wish list:

-Crest Pro-Health toothpaste (Mus and his mom loved the one tube I brought from America and you can't find it here).
- Dental Floss (waxed and minty, please)
- Instant Chocolate Pudding
- Books 2-4 of the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyers (we have the first one and loved it)
- Poster Tack (Or whatever you call the yellow gummy substance that adolescents in America use to hang posters on their walls. Apparently, poster tack is as indispensable to my life in Ghana as duct tape is to the average American male. So far we've used it to:
- hang Christmas Lights
- Attach a rabbit-ear TV attenna
- Puddy around the toilet so it doesn't leak disgusting smells
- Hang various posters, road signs, and fabrics around the room
But we're out so we could really use a new package!)
